Disney’s Frozen is now on Blu-Ray Combo & DVD! {Free Activity Downloads}

Have you seen Disney’s new movie Frozen yet? If you didn’t go and grab your copy yesterday you might have to look really hard for a copy, yes this movie is that popular! It is by far one of my favorite Disney movies in a long time! We received an early copy of this movie to review and it has literally been playing non-stop in my house, if not the movie then the music. My girls know all the words to all the songs and even my 2 year old son likes to spin in circles in the kitchen singing, “Let it Go” over and over. LOVE this movie! The magical connection shown between two sisters is beautiful and I love that it’s not just another “Where is my prince? When is my prince going to save me?” movie. I’m not a feminist or anything but it’s definitely an empowering women movie. SPOILER ALERT:  I of course bawled when their parents die in the middle of the song at the beginning (not much of a spoiler though, this is a Disney movie- the parents always are dead or die).

I’ve heard non-stop talk in our house of wanting to be Elsa and Anna for Halloween and how my girls even think their little brother needs an Olaf costume. I found my five year old on Pinterest the other day looking up Olaf cakes for her brother’s birthday (okay he’s not quite 2 year- another couple weeks).

HOW TO DRY ERASE (FRAME) MENU: Just grab a cute little 8x10 frame – I got mine at Wal-Mart for $4 but you can also find them at the Dollar Store- in this picture I just threw a white piece of paper in the frame but I’ve now upgraded to a cute piece of scrapbook paper to give it a little more flair. (Scrapbook paper was .25 at Joann’s). Then stick the vinyl straight on the glass. You can use an Expo marker or any dry erase marker you have lying around the house on this one.

HOW TO CHALKBOARD MENU: I grabbed a piece of wood at Wal-Mart but then realized I could get a wood plank at Lowe’s for so much cheaper and have enough to make multiple projects, then a can of Chalkboard spray paint at Wal-Mart for a couple of dollars. Plexus Slim Challenge- Week 2

plexus_slim[3] Oh Halloween I hate you. I tried my best to stay away from all the candy and Halloween goodies that came into our house this week because of the kids- the candy is still lurking around our house though and my plan for today, find it and destroy :). Okay just kidding but it is going in the outside garbage. One of the biggest differences I’ve noticed in myself from taking Plexus is that I have more energy. With four kids at home they really wear me out and I’m not saying I have a ton of energy but I feel like I have more energy to deal with them. One of the things I think has helped was taking the Candida (yeast overgrowth) Test. Apparently if you have an excesses amount of yeast in your body it can tend to make you sluggish and counteract the weight loss process.

Week 2 Plexus Slim Challenge

otherproductspb5 The Candida Test (Yeast Overgrowth) and ProBio5:

If you’d like to take the Candida test yourself you can download it HERE.

After deciding that I might have an excess amount of yeast in my body that was getting in the way of my weight loss progress I was sent a bottle of ProBio5 to help.

ProBio5 - The only way eliminate Candida without the crazy diets. It’s our new “Three In One” Formula for Maximum Candida Defense!

ProBio5 has five extra strength probiotics, added enzymes, intestinal flora, B6 and Grapefruit Seed extract – all in one effective delivery system.

ProBio5 contains powerful enzymes that are essential to the body in its need for support in synthesizing (breaking down) hostile organisms that may have a negative impact on your wellbeing.

ProBio5 will support and provide the following benefits to your body:

  • Yeast organism (Candida) and fungal cleanse
  • Proper probiotic balance in the intestinal tract
  • Proper intestinal balance which increases nutrient absorption

ProBio5 will typically provide the following results: A relief from typical Candida symptoms, which may include anxiety, recurring irritability, heartburn, indigestion, lethargy, extreme food and environmental allergies, acne, dry, flaky, itchy skin, jock itch, migraine headaches, recurring cystitis/vaginal infections, premenstrual tension, and menstrual problems. A very large percentage of the population, all ages, sexes and races have a yeast overgrowth and don’t even know it!

Water:

I’m definitely getting used to drinking lots of water and I’ve found that it really helps curb my appetite and urge to grab snacks. My goal for this week has been when I want a snack to get a glass of water instead. I find that after I drink the full glass of water my stomach won’t hold a snack. In fact one time this week I tested that theory and felt sick afterwards, like an over eating feeling of sick. My tummy’s way of telling me I didn’t need to eat anything else. I’ve found that water amazingly has kept me feeling fuller during the day.

To download the chart and see how much water you should be drinking per day click HERE.

Did you know that by adding lemon to your water it can do some pretty great and amazing things?

  1. Boosts your immune system- Lemons are high in Vitamin C and potassium- great for fighting colds and stimulating brain and nerve function, also helps control blood pressure.
  2. Balances pH—Lemons are incredibly alkaline and can help be wellness warriors for our bodies.
  3. Helps with weight loss- Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. It has been shown that people with a more alkaline diet lose weight faster.
  4. Aids digestion- When combined with warm water the juice serves to stimulate the gastrointestinal tract and peristalsis- the waves of muscle contractions with the intestinal walls that keep things moving. Lemons and limes are also high in minerals and vitamins and help loosen ama, or toxins, in the digestive tract.
  5. Acts as a gentle, natural diuretic- Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials because lemons increase the rate of urination in the body.
  6. Clears skin- The vitamin C helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes. Lemon water purges toxins from the blood which helps keep skin clear as well.
  7. Hydrates the lymph system- Helps prevent dehydration and adrenal fatigue. When your body is dehydrated it can’t perform all of its proper functions, which leads to toxin buildup, stress, constipation, and the list goes on. Your adrenals happen to be two small glands that sit on top of your kidneys, and along with your thyroid, create energy. They also secrete important hormones, including aldosterone. Aldosterone is a hormone secreted by your adrenals that regulates water levels and the concentration of minerals, like sodium, in your body, helping you stay hydrated. Your adrenals are also responsible for regulating your stress response.

Weighing In + Measurements:

For week two I lost .6lbs – but in my mind any loss is better than a gain. I am happy to say that I am still loosing inches though! In my mind I really don’t care what the scale says if I loose inches in my tummy and hips so I’m not down on this week’s results- this is still a progressive win for me.

Waist: 1 inch

Hips: 1 inch

Upper Thigh: 1 inch

Lower Thigh: 1.5 inches

Calf: 1 inch

Bicep: 0

5.5 inches total for my second week and a total of 9 inches lost overall since the beginning!

This program is so exciting to me and when my 30 days is done I’m pretty sure you’ll see me continuing on with the program.

Plexus Slim Challenge- Week 1

plexus_slim This last week was absolutely crazy! Halloween is not a holiday I love and they just seem to drag it out with activity over activity. We were invited to a ton of stuff but only participated in three different events- which meant the holiday lasted at least a week AND there’s still pillowcases full of candy hanging around my house. Stickiness, wrappers and crazy kids everywhere! So I’m going backwards a week here to tell you how my first week on the Plexus Slim Challenge went :) (Luckily I kept really good records in Excel of everything.)

Week 1 Plexus Slim Challenge

Water:

My first week I’m learning to drink LOTS of water. Half of your body weigh in ounces of water is a LOT of water, especially when you aren’t used to drinking that much. I swear I felt pregnant the first few days always having to run to the bathroom every five minutes, but by the end of the week I had gotten used to it and it wasn’t too bad.

The Pink Drink & Accelerator:

Usually I get up at 6am every morning to get my kids off to school (elementary school starts EARLY here in Texas) and that’s always too early for me to eat breakfast. So it was easy for me at 6:30 when the kids are eating to drink my Pink Drink and take my accelerator pill. Then 30 minutes later right before taking the kids to school I’d grab a protein shake for breakfast. The first few days I started out only taking one accelerator pill and then switched to two when I realized it wasn’t going to do anything funny to me.

At first I thought taking the accelerator might be making me tired because I found myself feeling sluggish in the afternoons (of course I do have four kids so that doesn’t help) so my distributor Clare suggested my body might be trying to detox and had me take the Candida test to see if I had an excess amount of yeast in my body (which can make it harder to loose weight). After not doing so great on that test she sent me a bottle of ProBio 5 to add to my routine (which I’ll talk about on my week 2 report).

Eating Healthy & Exercising…What I do:

I did try and eat a little healthier this week, knowing that it would help me loose more weight and inches if I did so but I didn’t go crazy and eliminate carbs, sweets or snacks completely but I did eat less. I also didn’t start a workout routine- I just don’t have time right now to go beyond what I do chasing after 4 kids on a daily basis. This next week as it gets lighter in the morning I do want to try walking to school with the kids a few days or walking home with them but for now not adding a big exercise routine.

Weighing In + Measurements:

I really need to put my scale away during the week when I’m not officially weighing myself because I can get a little obsessive about standing on the scale every time I go in my bathroom. After one full week on the Pink Drink and Accelerator I’ve lost 2.6lbs! To me that’s amazing. When I was working out for an hour every day at the gym every single day and restricting myself to low carbs and no snacks I was loosing about 2lbs a week. It amazes me that I can loose that much, even more and don’t have to make these huge sacrifices where I don’t get to enjoy a brownie with the family once in a while. I’d love for the scale to read a lower number but I’m the most happy about loosing inches.

Waist: 1 inch

Hips: 1 inch

Upper Thigh: 1 inch

Lower Thigh: 0

Calf: 0

Bicep: .5 inches

A total of 3.5 inches in my first week excites me!!

I’m excited to see what time will bring. With results like this I’m definitely encouraged to continue with Plexus Slim!

If you’d like more information about the program and the products be sure to check out the website HERE.

Plexus Slim {All-Natural Weight Loss Program} Challenge

I can remember a time where I was a size 2 – yes that was MANY years ago before I started having kids, so I don’t count on ever being there again but through 4 pregnancies my weight has been up and down and at one point I had gotten back to a size 4 and was feeling great. I had so much more energy, I was able to chase the kids through the park, walk to school with them and not feel overly exhausted after a few minutes.

I’m a little ashamed to say that because of quiet a bit of stress in the last seven months I’ve gotten to where I weigh the most I’ve ever weighed in my life. In fact for a while I got rid of the scale in my house and had no idea where I stood. Finally about a month ago I made the decision that I wanted to get back into shape. I haven’t been going to the gym (where I used to go for an hour every single day) and I haven’t been eating healthy, and while I just didn’t feel like I had the time to workout with how involved I am in PTA at the kid’s school I was in search to find something that would actually work.
Plexus Slim

That’s when I was introduced to Plexus Slim! A friend on Facebook told me you should check this out. It’s an all-natural program where you don’t have to workout for insane amounts of time or eat only vegetables to see results. I’m always a little leery of starting a new program, especially when I’m told I don’t have to change my lifestyle- of course the whole thing is if you want to see results faster and you want to keep the weight off you do need to make life changes. Will it work if you don’t, yes possibly (it’s different for everyone) but adding 20-30 minutes of some kind of cardio and paying attention to what you eat will make a difference. So this last Sunday I started my journey with Plexus Slim!

acceleratorI’m excited to announce to my readers that you guys will be my accountability check. For the next four weeks I will be posting all about my journey and results with Plexus Slim. Knowing that I have to post what I’m doing on the internet hopefully will help me stay on track. As of today I’ve been on Plexus Slim for 4 days now and I love it! The program comes with what I like to refer to as “The Pink Drink” which for me has been similar to Crystal Light. 30 minutes before I eat breakfast I add one packet of my pink drink to 16 oz of water and take 1 accelerator pill. The accelerator pill helps speed up the weight loss process. It includes proven ingredients like, dark chocolate, green tea, and natural caffeine to boost metabolism and suppress appetite.

So no meal replacements, no shakes, no caffeine and no stimulants! You drink your Plexus Slim once every morning with the accelerator if you like and then just go about your day consciously trying to make healthy choices.

MORE INFO:

In the next coming weeks I’ll be posting more about the products but if you’d like more information about the program and the products be sure to check out the website HERE.

Be sure to also check out my friend Clare’s Facebook page and twitter- she’s the great lady who will be helping me along my Plexus journey and she knows her stuff when it comes to Plexus! I’d also love to see some of my readers join this challenge with me, to get healthy with Plexus Slim!

(Oh and I did take before pictures but you guys aren’t going to get to see those until I have my after pictures for comparison :) sorry I’m not that brave.)

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. A 30 day package of Plexus Slim products was provided to me in exchange for these postings. No monetary compensation was received. All opinions here are 100% my own and were not influenced in any way.

Pleygo {Lego Rental Service}

We’ve now received our first and second shipments from Pleygo – a fun Lego Rental Service that I posted about HERE.

photo(21)My girls were really excited because they’ve been begging me for a few months now to buy this Lego Friends Cafe set at the store for them. They were a little disappointed at first when they found out that they didn’t get to keep it but after a week of having it at our house they didn’t cry when I sent it back, it helped that they were at school and I told them if we sent it back we’d be getting another one. I was definitely impressed with the first set it came in a nice box and the set looked practically brand new, with this being a new company I would be surprised if it was a new set and we were it’s first users. In fact we were a little confused with some of the directions because we couldn’t find a bag of separate extra pieces (I think they were all together in one bag) so we built our set and then before sending it back we stuck the extra pieces we had in a sandwich bag. I definitely had to be a little more pro-active of a parent with this toy because it didn’t belong to us,if it were a toy we’d purchased I wouldn’t mind the kids just playing with it on their own but I will admit I was more than a little worried they were going to loose a ton of the pieces and we’d be forced to buy the kit. Luckily Pleygo says that if you loose a piece it’s okay but I was thinking my kids were going to loose lots of pieces or get them all mixed in with the Legos that we already own. We had to go to the post office to send our package back but that’s because live in a neighborhood were we never see our mailman and all the mailbox are together and the slot to send mail is tiny, we have to do that with quite a few things we want to mail I was happy to see that Pleygo supplied a free shipping label and that we had to send it back in the original packaging- no extra cost for us.

The second set we received was still good but I wasn’t as impressed. The set seemed smaller (we are on the fan plan which means we get small-medium sets and I think this one was a small set where our first one was a medium set). The second set also wasn’t sent in a box it was sent in a padded package (it’s a little harder to keep these nice when you’re opening them to reuse them to mail your set back). The set we received looked a little more used, which is what I expected from this service. I think we just had an AWESOME first experience that the few little differences just made me think, but it was still great. My girls have loved playing with different Lego sets. I spoke with someone at the company who told me that they’d be growing and were hoping to quickly add more options because I didn’t see a ton on the fan plan that my kids really wanted to play with and I was concerned that we’d run out of options really fast. I’m also hoping to see them add some of the Duplo Legos to their fan plan so that I can include my 18 month old in playtime.

If you’re looking for a way for your kids to enjoy some fun new Legos without having to go to the full expense of buying a whole bunch of different ones then you should definitely check out Pleygo.

Reading Eggs {Improve your Child’s Reading Skills}

re_logosized My two oldest kids were quick learners and were both reading before they started kindergarten, they are both now reading above grade level in their current classes. However, my five year old has struggled a little more with her letters, the sounds they make and because of this has trouble with the simple sight words her kindergarten teacher has sent home. We have tried so many different tactics to try and enforce these skills but sometimes they just feel work. My daughter however has her own computer and great computer skills and loves to play games so when we found Reading Eggs we knew that this would be something she’d like.

I’m including a pretty lengthy video here – it’s 14 minutes long but if you’re really in the market for a program for your kids to help strengthen their reading skills I wanted you to have this all available for you to checkout.

After watching my daughter go through the lesson I realized that she needs to slow down a little bit Some of the mistakes she had were because she wanted to just click at times rather then listening to all of the instructions. She also struggled a little bit with the words because this lesson was teaching the words “I” and “a”. When they asked her to click on the word “a” she was clicking on the letter “a” in the other words. I feel like after a few mistakes though she caught on and was able to understand. I love that the lessons reinforce the letters, words and sounds with repetitiveness and fun visuals. Each lesson is broken down into different sections and your child has the option to repeat the section or move on to the next. As you will see briefly in the end of the lesson there’s a map where your child can move forward with the completion of each lesson. When lessons are completed the child receives different rewards and meets new friends, which has been an incentive for my daughter to complete the entire lesson.

I feel like after only a couple of lessons my daughter’s skills are definitely increasing from where she started and while I try to help be a hands-on parent I am happy to have a program where she can sit on her computer for 30 minutes without my help (most of the time she doesn’t really ask for help, it does happen occasionally but she can just about get through the entire lesson without my aid).

For a little more information on Reading Eggs you can checkout my original post HERE and checkout what they have to offer on their website HERE.

Disclosure: A Reading Eggs three month subscription was provided to me along with a 3 week trial of their new program Mathseeds.com in exchange for this posting. No monetary compensation was received.

Personalized Baby Boy Blankets

21454_10151494892291292_1116456404_nMy little guy is 18 months old now and his most favorite thing in the world is his blanket. He doesn’t necessarily have just one that he carries everywhere, any blanket will do but it’s definitely his mode of comfort. You can tell he’s tired, or sad or just wants to snuggle an get some loves when he grabs one of his blankets. My three older kids are all girls and they all shared a combination of the same blankets but unfortunately they are all pink or purple so when we found out we were having a boy we knew we wanted to get some baby boy blankets. personalized_pima_cotton_blanket_with_matdhing_rib_-_c2

I love the variety of baby blankets found at BabyBlankets.com and I love that they have blankets that can be personalized. My mother-in-law got my son a few personalized blankets with his name on them and they just make them a little extra special. My favorite are the Ribbed Pima Cotton ones because they come in some fun bright colors, are just the right weight- not too hot and not too cold and they aren’t heavy to carry around, bonus you can add a simple personalization to them with your baby’s name.

BabyBlankets.com also offers products that are made with organic cotton, and all the dyes and materials used to make them are non-toxic, so you have one less thing to worry about with your little one. If you’re expecting, have a little one or just looking for a great gift idea for a friend be sure to check out the wide variety of cute items from BabyBlankets.com.
