Funky Monkey Snacks {Review & Giveaway}

Do you ever run out of ideas when it comes to providing healthy snacks for your kids? I am constantly trying to find new ideas that my kids will enjoy because they get so tired of apples, crackers and cheese. Funky Monkey Snacks are freeze dried fruits snacks, both natural and healthy for your kids! It’s a great way to ensure that your kids are getting enough or close to their servings of fruit and vegetables for the day. Each bag actually contains per the USDA regulations 3 servings of fruit, and I’ll tell you it’s very easy to eat an entire bag of these snacks pretty quickly in one sitting. They are 100% organic, all natural, vegan, raw food, and gluten free with no added sugar or sweeteners and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. (They also have a great shelf life- we were sent our packages in November and they don’t expire until July 2012.)

These snacks are delicious and even though they don’t have any added sugar in them they definitely aren’t bland. They are freeze-dried, a unique and modern process that maintains nearly all the original flavor and nutrients found in fresh fruit.

My kids favorite flavor was Pink Pineapple and I loved the Applemon snacks. I don’t care for bananas personally but did try a few flavors with them and they were pretty good, however I will admit that no one liked the Purple Funk, the kids said they smelled bad and I’ll agree they just weren’t appealing, after tasting them we ended up throwing them out, however I would definitely buy the others for my kids and family for a great nutritious and healthy snack!
