Gami Works is a collection of contemporary Japanese chiyogami inspired gifts and accessories, including their beautiful glass pendant necklaces available in square, circle and rectangular shapes, in both mini and regular sizes. I didn’t used to be very interested in jewelry but have started to find some beautiful unique pieces and I would include Gami Works in my top favorites. Plus I have a couple little girls who absolutely love jewelry and are always trying to steal anything they can of mine. I had a very hard time choosing the piece I wanted to review because they had so many beautiful colors and designs, but I decided on the Porcelain Blues- Mini Glass Tile and Japanese Chiyogami Pendant Necklace, which is currently on sale for only $12.
Item Description (from Etsy):
I love the bold contrast of this Japanese chiyogami (old-paper. Porcelain blue maple leaves dance in front of a crisp white background. Dainty, hand cut glass adds great depth and reflection to the age old paper. Looks fabulous with jeans and a tee.
The glass tile measures 7/8" square x 1/4" thick and comes ready-to-wear dangling on an 18" silver-plated ball chain, feeling light and comfortable around your neck. This necklace comes beautifully tucked away in a coordinating gift tin.
The pendant tile is even more beautiful in person then in it’s picture! The bold blue colors and maple leaves make this pendant simple and the glitter adds a touch of elegance which is definitely my style! I absolutely love the coordinating tin it came in, I think this will definitely be an addition to my jewelry collection. I don’t have too many pieces of jewelry so both the pendant and a few of my earrings fit into it nicely, which also would make a great way to carry jewelry while traveling. I love the tin because my girls have a hard time getting it open! My six year old is a pro at stuff like that but my five year old and 2 1/2 year old were struggling with it and then gave up, which means I will likely be able to keep this piece of jewelry out of their hands. However I may just have to add a few to my holiday list for my five and six year old daughters.
Gami Works also carries other pieces of jewelry such as earrings and bracelets, along with different gift accessories such as candles, belts and pocket mirrors. All for a very reasonable price.
