Vitalicious {Review & Giveaway}

Lately I’ve decided that I need to start eating better and start loosing a little bit of weight. I did really good with this low carb diet I was on about a year ago and lost a lot of weight but it’s been slowly all creeping back and I’m blaming it all on snacking! I find myself throughout the day searching the pantry, fridge and freezer for something to eat. I honestly don’t think I’m hungry but perhaps just bored and that leads to unnecessary snacking with larger then necessary portion sizes, I mean who sits down with a bag of chips and only eats the suggested portion size, well not me. Chocolate is definitely my weakness! Then I was introduced to Vitalicious. They offer pre-packaged nicely portioned low calorie yummy snacks! Most of the samples I received to try were chocolate too so this made me even more happy. There were a few flavors that weren’t chocolate and they were really good too but the chocolate ones were definitely my favorite especially the Mint Chip Vita Tops. These snacks are called Vita Muffin Vita Tops because that’s what they are the top of a muffin and well I don’t know if there’s anyone who’d disagree with me that the top of the muffin is the best part!

 

They are definitely filling snacks that have helped me control my portion sizes because I don’t feel like I need something else to eat after I’ve finished one. Not only are they only 100 calories but they are also high in fiber and protein. On average most of their Vita Tops have about 8-9 grams of fiber and 4g of protein. I popped these right into the freezer when I got them and was able to microwave them later. I don’t generally like microwaved food very much but as long as you microwave them in their plastic wrapping they keep their moist flavor. (Note: they need to be frozen if you aren’t planning on eating them all in a couple of days because they don’t contain any preservatives.)
