This is definitely the season, the season for sickness! It seems like my kids get sick multiple times during the holiday season and especially now that they are in public school and around other kids on a daily basis brining home all kinds of germs. Well the germs we can’t seem to escape but I have found a way to temporarily relive my children’s cold symptoms to make them feel a little better. My five year old daughter started to complain about her throat hurting and a runny nose so I grabbed the package and told her I had some new medicine for her to try. She wasn’t excited about the idea at first because she HATES the liquid medicine she has to drink but when she was these she softened up to the idea. I told her that they would just dissolve in her mouth and she didn’t even have to chew them, just suck on them. She was a little hesitant at first as most kids are with medicine but after a few seconds she got this really great look on her face. She loved them! I’ve had a little bit of a cold lately and decided that they wouldn’t hurt me even if I didn’t so I popped some in my mouth- they were actually quite nice tasting. They didn’t taste like medicine at all, which could potentially be a bad thing because kids might want to eat them like candy but since they are non-drowsy and have no risk of overdose it wouldn’t be such a big deal other then the fact that you’d just have to buy more. I gave them to my daughter last night as directed, five pellets every 20 minutes for the first hour and then five pellets every two hours until symptoms are relieved. Then my daughter woke me up at 6:30 this morning telling me she needed some more medicine, a medicine that she actually asks for and wants to take is great!
