Frito-Lay Fan Club

I have to admit that chips are probably my favorite salty snack and I love so many different kinds! Well guess what did you know that Lays, Doritos, Tostitos, Cheetos, Fritos, Sun Chips, Cracker Jack, Rold God, Ruffles, Smartfood Popcorn, Stacy’s and MANY other brands come from Frito-Lay?! I really had no idea. Well I am happy to say I am now being educated as a new Frito-Fan Club Member! Did you happen to see the badge I’m sporting on my right sidebar? Being a Frito-Lay Fan Club member I received a complimentary reusable bag, three bags of chips (I know there are only two in this picture but one of them was eaten up too fast), a water bottle, and reusable bag clip. My husband’s favorites are the Tostitos because he loves to dip them in cheese and I pretty much love all flavors of Sun Chips.

I decided I wanted to educate my readers a little bit too since I really was pretty clueless to the Frito-Lay company and I think it’s important to know about the things you’re putting into your mouth. So here’s some fun facts for you:

  • Frito-Lay starts with fresh, farm-grown ingredients, making many of our chips with just three simple ingredients: potatoes or corn, all-natural oils and salt.
  • We were the first major food company to remove partially hydrogenated oils from our cooking oil way back in 2003. That means our chips have 0 grams trans fat because we use all-natural oils such as corn oil and sunflower oil.
  • Many varieties of our chips provide whole grains like Tostitos® snacks, which contain 8 grams of whole grain corn per serving, and SunChips®, which brings 18 grams of whole grain per serving to your diet! SunChips® are also a good source of fiber.
  • Frito-Lay supports American farmers and buys the potatoes used to make our potato chips from 80+ farms across 27 states.

The Frito-Lay brands can be found at just about any store.
