Umi Children’s Shoes {Review & Giveaway}

Being a mom of three little girls means that one of the things we never run out of around here are SHOES! I’m not a huge shoe person- I do have a few pairs, however my girls have drawers full of them! We’ve actually had to dedicate an entire drawer in each of their dressers for their shoes because otherwise they’d be everywhere! When it comes to kid’s clothes I like to buy cheap, I’m really a frugal person who tries to find the best deal and I don’t mind shopping consignment stores or sales to find them. Why? I think that kids grow out of clothes too quickly or they get stains or rips too easily and I’m not up for paying $30 for a shirt that’s going to be ruined within days. However shoes are a different subject. Now that doesn’t mean that I don’t have cheap shoes but with three kids I like to pass things down so they can all use it and when comparing the high quality shoes to the cheap ones I purchased, well they just definitely don’t last as long.

I was excited when Umi offered me the opportunity to review a pair of their shoes from their new Spring/Summer line! Have you seen all the new styles they are so cute!! While Umi’s shoes are not cheap they are definitely the best quality shoes my kids have ever had and I’m pretty sure they’ll still be in great condition years down the road if we decide to have another little girl. My two year old was so excited to open her new shoes when they came and she wanted to put them on right away. We haven’t been blessed with very much beautiful Spring weather yet in Washington however that didn’t stop her from putting them on and running outside! We even got a little bit of snow and she wanted to wear her new sandals to go and play. She literally wears them everywhere! We don’t typically wear shoes in the house however she won’t take them off. So to me that means they’re comfortable (I even caught her at naptime sleeping in bed with them on- she didn’t go to bed with on but she got them out of her drawer and put them on while she was in her room).

When I say high quality I mean that they are made of thick material that doesn’t feel flimsy or look as if the color would fade very quickly. She’s been outside plenty of times in them and while I’d really rather keep them nice for church or to wear with her Spring dresses for Easter the times that they have gotten dirty they wiped off super easy with a wet cloth and are still a nice pretty white.

Umi shoes are made to fit so that children have ample room to grow so be sure and order exactly to your child’s size. I’m always leery of buying shoes online because my kids can’t try them on however I found an online shoe size chart and measured just to make sure and the Umi shoes fit great! Well enough for my daughter to wear them without socks or tights however she could if she wanted.
