Kiki’s Maternity Fashions {Review & Giveaway}

 

In my experience I always loved shopping for maternity clothes! It can sometimes be difficult because it seems as if the choices are rather limited, unless you go into a specialty maternity store, where the stuff is definitely cute but will cost you an arm and a leg! Seriously who wants to pay so much money for clothes that you’ll be wearing less than nine months?!

Kiki’s Maternity Fashions are both stylish and affordable. I didn’t find anything on their site that was more than $30 and that included pants and maternity dresses, which is almost unheard of when it comes to clothes let alone maternity clothes for that matter.

I’ve continually got my fingers crossed that I won’t have a need for maternity clothes for a while however my younger sister (who does reviews off and on for me on my blog- if you don’t remember she was featured in the Shabby Apple review HERE) is expecting in early December. Being her first pregnancy she doesn’t have any maternity clothes. Her husband is in college and she’s working full time as a cake decorator at Albertsons in the small college town where they live so it’s super important to her that she find cute and cheap maternity clothes that fit into their budget and Kiki’s has some great choices for that!

Isn’t my sister adorable?! Can you believe she’s 16 weeks pregnant?! I don’t even look that good and I’m not pregnant! LOL. This color definitely looks good on her but Emily I think you need to get out in the sun a little bit more this summer  

For review she choose the Blue Ruffled Short Sleeve Maternity Shirt (they don’t have this one available online anymore however you can see the same shirt in black HERE). She LOVED the color of this shirt- very bright and fun! The neckline was a little too low for her taste however she added a white half tee underneath to make it more modest and it was perfect! The ruffles are a great addition to give it a feminine touch and make it stand out in your closet so it’s not just another v-neck t-shirt. It’s a little more dressy and would make a great shirt for a night on the town. Online it says the sizes run a little small but she said the small size was just fine if not al little big, but when her belly starts to grow a little more I’m sure it will be perfect! She also loved how the material just flows  and the fact that it wasn’t tight at the bottom or waist. The lightweight yet high quality feel of this shirt will make this a great addition to her wardrobe, especially in these summer months when it starts to get hotter.
