Wow 20 weeks of Nutrisystem! I can’t believe the time has gone by so quickly and at most times I haven’t even felt like I was “dieting”. I’ve definitely had my ups and downs but it’s mostly been easy to make the life changes I have to healthier eating. Introducing many more and some new fruits and vegetables to my meals have really made a difference. While at the beginning I felt like I was drinking way too much water and in the bathroom every five minutes it’s now a habit that my body has gotten used to. Here are my top advice tips for healthier living:
- 1. Drink 8-10oz of water daily
- 2. Eat Breakfast!
- 3. Try not to snack out of the pantry between meals and after dinner (one dessert is okay and healthy snacks like vegetables or fruit are a good option for between meals)
- 4. Don’t eat anything after 8pm – if you’re hungry have a large glass of water
These four big things alone really helped me jump start my weight loss and have helped me continue on this journey with great results. Overall I’m very happy with my progress over 21.4lbs lost in 20 weeks time, which is an average of 1.07lbs per week, a healthy weight loss. Slow but steady always wins the race when it comes to weigh loss.
I’m getting ready to take a two week vacation to visit family and I know it’s going to be hard to keep up with everything I’ve done but these little tips above and the great convenient Nutrisystem meals and bars I know will help me- my goal is to try and at least maintain my weight. While I pack the car today I’ll be brining along plenty of the Double Chocolate Caramel Bars and Fudge Graham Bars- my favorite easy on the go lunch entrees! So we’ll see how things go- and I’ll be around a computer so I’ll definitely keep you updated around this same time next week.
