My kids are HUGE readers! My oldest absolutely loves to read, which can cause an issue at bedtime because she never goes to sleep. I often go in to wake her up in the morning and find her lamp on and at least one or two books on her bed. Both of my girls have engaged in a reading program at school this year but with only two weeks left I’ll be looking for ways to motivate them so I don’t hear, “I’m bored” all summer. Summer reading programs are a great way to keep kids motivated and books can be taken just about anywhere including outside to enjoy the sun and on family vacations.
Here are a few national reading programs that I hope you and your kids will enjoy!
Kids who meet the challenge to read five books over the summer will be eligible to win a summer fun prize package full of goodies.
You can also find some fun online learning games and recipes HERE.
