Lysol- Great Back to School Products!

I was reviewing the kid’s back to school supply lists the other day so I can start shopping and noticed that there were quite a few products included that encouraged healthy living habits. I was happy to see the Lysol Disinfecting Wipes on the list and am more than willing to buy products that give me the piece of mind that my kids will be practicing healthy hobbits not only at home but at school too.

imageI’m a big fan of LYSOL® products and have been using them in my house for years but was excited for the opportunity to try their new LYSOL® Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System. Having little kids at home can be frustrating at times to teach good hand washing techniques because it always seems like they can make such a mess with the soap at the sink. We have gone to a motion censored sink (my dad is a plumber which makes this a nice bonus) where the kids just have to stick their hands under the faucet and the water comes on and now we can do the same thing with our soap! I was also excited to see that the product container has a stainless steel look that will match our bathroom sink and the rest of the appliances in the house.

The No-Touch Hand Soap System helps eliminate the spread of germs and helps kids get exactly the right amount of soap without wasting any. The system’s antibacterial soap kills 99.9% of bacteria on hands when used as directed – so it’s ideal for use in the kitchen or bathroom. The starter kit includes one dispenser, one hand soap refill, and four AA batteries. The soap also has a very pleasant smell, not too overpowering and the one we received includes Aloe Vera so I don’t feel like it’s drying out my hands as regular soap would.

Back-to-School Tips (provided by LYSOL®)

  • Remind your child about the number one rule for germ control: frequent and thorough hand washing at school. Hand sanitizer is a good option if soap and water aren't accessible.
  • Talk to your child about covering every cough or sneeze at school. He/she should use a tissue, and then throw it way and clean his/her hands.
  • Encourage your child to try to avoid other children who are coughing or sneezing.
  • Be aware that moist environments, like the water fountain, can harbor germs. Send your child to school with bottled water, if it's permitted.
  • Equip your child's backpack with alcohol-based hand sanitizer and tissues.
  • Provide your child with a mechanical pencil and his/her own crayons and art supplies. The pencil sharpener is one of the germiest places in the classroom.

So be sure to include Lysol products when doing your Back to School shopping not only to get your child prepared for school but to get your house prepared for those extra germs they’ll be brining home from school.
