It Works! {Review & Giveaway}

243099_205928506111499_205928012778215_478067_1897027_oLooking for a natural way to tighten, tone and firm your skin and even loose some inches?! I’ve tried dieting and I’ve tried exercise and tonight with weights and machines at the gym however as I’m sure many mom’s can relate I’ve always had that stubborn bit of baby belly or saggy skin leftover from having kids that I just haven’t been able to shake. I can loose the pounds but the skin just doesn’t bounce back very well after a few kids. I’ve seen plenty of spas that will do a slimming wrap service that is essentially the same thing that It Works! offers however you’ll pay hundreds of dollars for that service when you can try this at home for only $30 and 45 minutes.

I’ll admit I was a little leery of the wrap product at first, it just seemed to good to be true- but I had seen plenty of pictures and testimonials of happy customers so I decided to give it a try. The wrap was super easy to apply and fairly comfortable to wear. I did feel like it was probably better when I was laying down on the couch watching TV with it on then sitting at my computer because of the way it laid on my body but that didn’t mean that I couldn’t still take some time to relax and loose inches at the same time! It is suggested that you drink lots of water to detox during and after the process and not to share too much but I felt like I was in the bathroom a ton with the amount of water I was drinking, LOL. (Before applying the wrap I made sure I followed all the directions by taking my measurements and marking where I had measured on my body with a permanent pen so I could measure in the same place later.)

My initial results after keeping it on for 2 hours were a little surprising- 1 inch lost in one spot but my other two measurement areas of my abdomen I had actually gained a tiny bit inch wise. I was a little disappointed so I contacted the distributor Andrea- who was super nice and was able to explain to me all about Toxic Swell, your body telling you that you need to detox, even more than most. It just meant that my body had more toxins to get rid of and when they try to vacate your cells there are so many that it causes a slight swell. She suggested that I continue to drink lots of water for the next 3 days and continue to measure. (Toxic Swell can easily be caused in people who are soda drinkers or someone who drinks alcohol- which doesn’t fit me- but can be an explanation.) Typical results are a total of 1-3 inches with one applications over 3 days.

The next day I took my final measurements. I lost a total of 4.25 inches wearing one wrap application for a total of 2 hours. While I can’t quite attest to the fact that the results are lasting if you keep up with diet and exercise, because I found out I was pregnant a few days later- and that in and of itself will cause my abdomen area to expand. I was extremely happy with the results that I got and was happy to admit that my once saggy stomach skin is a little bit more firm and tight now. While I can’t use this product while pregnant, I will definitely be going back to it after I have my baby! I’m especially excited to try the defining gel that will help with stretch marks because I already have plenty of those from my other pregnancies!
