Waterparks with Toddlers & Tweens in Tow {Schlitterbahn}

Our family is planning on visit to Schlitterbahn the first weekend of August with some out of town friends. We’ll have 4 adults (one who will be 7 months pregnant), two 12 year old boys, an 8 year old and 9 year old girl, a 5 year old girl whose pretty short for her age and a 16 month old little boy. It seems a little overwhelming and I actually considered not going because of the little ones thinking the older ones wouldn’t have very much fun but the best part about taking that many adults and going to Schlitterbahn is that Schlitterbahn is designed to have something for every age- inland surfing on the boggie bahn is very doable with a lesson or two, splash zones are designed to be safe for the littlest guests.

There are lots of big fast slides and rides for the older group. My 8 and 9 year old girls are excited for the Congo River Expedition at the New Braunfels, TX location. My five year old and 16 month old will probably hang out in one of the many kids areas that include not only splash zones but small slides as well. Luckily with free life jackets and kids tubes even I a cautious mom can and will feel safe at Schlitterbahn!
