Made in Washington- Hand Blown Glass Ornaments {Review & Giveaway}- CLOSED

header_logo Ever since I was little I remember getting the Made in Washington catalogs in the mail around the holidays. Being a born and raised in Washington girl it was fun to see items that represented Washington and I always thought they would make great gifts. They carry everything from Smoked Salmon, Artisan Chocolates, Specialty Coffee and other Northwest Souvenirs that all represented the spirit of Washington.

One of their most beautiful items are their Hand Blown Glass Ornaments. When I found out I would have the opportunity to review one of these exquisite ornaments I was excited. They have rounds, raindrops or heart shaped options and because I truly wanted to capture the spirit of the Northwest I chose a raindrop shaped ornament. I really liked both the Seattle Raindrop Glass Ornament and the Emerald City Raindrop Glass Ornament so I had a hard time choosing but I decided on the Emerald City design because one of my favorite things about Washington is how green it is! We can thank all of our rain for that so these would probably be a great pair to purchase together because the Seattle design reminds me of rain with it’s blue color.

The Story Behind the Ornaments:

Each of these hand blown glass ornaments have a story behind them, they’re made with ash from the Mt. St. Helen’s explosion back in 1980, they’re all hand done, and they’re all made in the Seattle area by people who genuinely love what they do. The raindrops have a bit more to offer, as far as story goes- any of the ornaments that are “Raindrops” have been designed exclusively for Made in Washington. Glass Eye still makes others, but the ones on Made in Washington’s website are designs made especially for them, and will never be sold to anyone else.

This holiday season, enjoy a FREE 4-piece box of Fran’s Salted Caramels with each Glass Eye Ornament purchase (excluding the Limited Edition)- that’s a $7.99 value, absolutely free! I really enjoyed these salted caramels they are covered in a dark chocolate and topped with sea salt, which I’ve never had on caramel but I don’t think I’ll ever eat caramels another way again these were so good! The four I was sent definitely didn’t last long!

So be sure to grab at least a few of these beautiful ornaments to decorate your Christmas tree and make sure you buy at least a couple so you can get at least a couple boxes of those wonderful caramels! :)

Buy It: Hand Blow Glass Ornaments from Made in Washington retail for $24.99.
