Nutrisystem #NSNation {Week 6} – Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I’m not a huge celebrator of this holiday generally, I found out this morning that I don’t even have any green clothes except for the little bit of green on my kitchen apron, so I’m wearing that because I could just ignore it but I have kids! They were completely decked out this morning in their green floral dresses and skirts. Well in honor of St. Patrick’s Day I was thinking I’d try to eat green foods today. Luckily Nutrisystem makes a very yummy Split Pea Soup or one of my favorites- the Pasta Parmesan with Broccoli (I always add a little more chicken and a whole bunch of broccoli)- oh I can’t wait for lunch!! Haven’t quite decided what I’ll be craving at dinner time yet but I think I’ll have a great green salad to go with it! For dessert how about some chocolate cake with fat free whipped topping and a little bit of green food coloring, I know my kids were excited to see green food coloring in their milk this morning.

I’m also going to do a recipe posting with my favorite Spinach Salad later (I have to go find it first) so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that, it’s a good one! So tell me what are your favorite healthy green foods? I’m a huge fan of almost all green vegetables, broccoli, green beans, pea pods, romaine lettuce, spinach, zucchinis, cucumbers and on the fruit side green apples and kiwis.

Start Weight: 152.5

Week 1: 148.7 (3.8lb loss)

Week 2: 146.3 (2.4lb loss)

Week 3: 146.1 (0.2lb loss)

Week 4: 145.5 (0.6lb loss)

Week 5: 144.4 (1.1lb loss)

Week 6: 143.9 (0.5lb loss)

TOTAL LOST: 8.6 lbs.

Excited to see those numbers moving down on the scale. I had a bit of hard week and have been feeling a little bloated so I’m excited to see a loss, even if it’s a small one. I actually weighed in on Monday for a competition I’m doing online in the challenge forum and was up quite a bit so I’m excited to see my numbers down! One of my biggest accomplishments this week is that I can wash my jeans!! I know that sounds a little bit weird but I wear my jeans a few days in a row and go to sweats if they get really dirty because I detest washing my jeans! They never fit right and it takes at least a day or two to get them stretched back out to comfort level. Well my jeans accidently got put in the wash with everyone else’s a few days ago and when I took them out I could put them on, zip them up and they fit great! Now I’ll be washing my jeans often so that they don’t get too loose- I love it! I’m also excited to announce that I’m joining in a Biggest Loser Challenge here in my hometown. A few of my friends have done it in the past (I think this might be the third time they’ve held it) and for $30 I decided to join in. I think it’ll be great to have some team support and engage in weekly fitness and health challenges to help keep me motivated and hopefully help boost my weight loss numbers!

So go celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by enjoying some yummy healthy green foods today!

  2. Congrats on your weightloss. I'm so jealous of you girls! I managed the 10-Day challenge but after my first day I would love to have gotten the chance for the longer program.
