Free Spirit Publishing {Review & Giveaway}

My kids LOVE all kinds of books. My six year old daughter was reading before she started Kindergarten and you can most often find her with a book in her hand. She came home from one of her first trips to the library at school and told us that they wouldn’t let her check out a chapter book because it was too hard for a first grader, obviously they didn’t know my child yet and having the big mouth that she does like her mother she told them I read Junie B. Jones books at home ALL the time. She’s even trying to teach her sister who’s a year younger then her and in Kindergarten how to read.

When Free Spirit Publishing offered us some books for review we were very excited to try them. After looking at everything, they have a wide variety and selection of books, we decided on the Ready to Play! Ready for Bed! and Ready for the Day! books. After reading these books I knew I had made the right decision! Free Spirit Publishing offers books for kids that help parents and children face every day challenges and how to better deal with them. My girls have a really tough time going to bed at night and getting ready for school in the morning and the words in these books were right on. I felt like I was reading a story about my children with the issues that came up. My kids really enjoyed my reading these books to them but I think they were more for me then anything. I loved how the parent in the book dealt with the children and every little issue that would come up, it really helped me change my way of parenting, especially in dealing with our bedtime routine. It helped show me how to be much more patient and to give my children choices when a problem arose.
