Nutrisystem #NSNation {Week 1}

Well it hasn’t technically been a full week since I’ve been on the Nutrisystem program but I am excited to say that I have been on the program 100% for 4 days now! Even with all the Super Bowl Parties and snack food, it helps when you aren’t a person who’s into sports and didn’t watch it. Nutrisystem has changed many things for me helping me progress towards my New Year’s Resolution of eating healthier and feeding my family healthier foods. I’ve tried to base some of my family’s meals on the types of foods I’ve been eating and while not the same it has definitively helped get more kids to eat more fruits and veggies. I also loved that it’s helped me be more consciously aware of remembering to drink more water during the day. My biggest thing probably that has changed is that I’m a huge snacker. I’m okay during the day but once dinner is over I think I get bored and just start eating and my hubby definitely isn’t a help in that area. He has Pop Tarts and Gatorade for breakfast and all kinds of snacks once dinner is through and doesn’t gain a single pound! I’ve been really steady with my continued exercise and am loving that my husband got me an elliptical for Christmas so that I can workout in front of the TV, especially at night. The Nutrisystem food has been so yummy and I’m proud to say that I haven’t eaten anything after 8pm for more then a week now.

My favorite food so far was most of the food I had the first day of the program- the Blueberry Muffin for breakfast and Three Cheese Pasta with Chicken for lunch, and the Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza for dinner, what a great way to start things off! Oh and the Peppermint Cookie Patty- to die for! I love that I’m loosing weight yet don’t feel like I’m starving myself. On the contrary I think I feel like I’m eating more food with Nutrisystem it’s just better types of food. I definitely have had to adjust my thinking  and my stomach because I was never used to eating so much at my meals. With the combination of lots of free vegetables I’ve found myself completely satisfied and not leaving the table hungry for snacks.

I’m not proud to admit my actual weight here but for a sense of progress here are my numbers:

Start Weight: 152.5

Current Weight: 148.7

Yes only four full days and I’ve already lost a total of  3.8lbs!

Thank you Nutrisystem and thank you to my husband for the Elliptical I received for Christmas- that’s been a huge add to my weight loss because I know you can’t loose weight without exercise.

My goal weight is 125lbs and I’m confident I can do it! I love that Nutrisystem also has a huge online support system. I’ve been tapping into the community discussion boards and am already in a challenge group where you try to only eat 100% of the foods you’re supposed to. I think that will be a huge help to me, having the support of others to keep me going.

If you’re interested in Nutrisystem you should definitely check out their website- they are having a huge special where their prices are the lowest they’ve been since 2003! You can even save 10% and get free shipping with their auto delivery program.

Disclosure: Nutrisystem is providing their food and program to me free of charge in exchange for blogging about my experience as part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program. The opinions are my own and others experiences with Nutrisystem may vary.
