Jacob Bromwell Popcorn Popper {Review}

imagesMy absolute favorite snack is popcorn! I’m pretty picky about it too- I don’t care for microwave popcorn so it always has to be air popped. I’ve tried making popcorn in a big pot on the stove, which has a better taste to me than air popped  but for some reason it always ends up burning and the clean up is a pain. I was happy to have the opportunity to try out Jacob Bromwell’s Original Popcorn Popper.The popcorn popper is designed to use over the campfire- which would be so nice to be able to enjoy your favorite snack while camping. We actually have a fire pit in our yard and while I would have loved to try it out there it’s that time of year where the Northwest just isn’t letting up wit the rain so I used it inside on the stovetop. I did have a few little complaints using inside that wouldn’t be an issue if you were using it over the campfire outside. Due to the holes on top some of the oil got out of the pan while popping which caused the burner to start smoking a bit so while at first there was a lovely popcorn smell, definitely make sure you have the fan on over your stove.I was happy thought about quite a few things including the fact that just about every single kernel popped and when I turned it over to let the extra kernels fall out at the end, there weren’t any. I was happy with this result because none of the popcorn was burnt or overcooked to achieve this, which I’ve always found to be an issue when making popcorn on the stove previously. The cleanup with this popcorn popper was also extremely easy- just dumped the popcorn in a bowl and wiped the popper clean with a little water and paper towel. I wouldn’t suggest taking the lid off though- this was the first thing I did to put the oil in and it was really hard to get back on. What a yummy, fun, family activity. There’s just something about it that the kids found more fun than the using the regular air popper.
